Improving the English literacy of immigrant and refugee children
To help immigrant and refugee children in South Carolina increase their English literacy and diminish learning loss that happens during the summer.
Our nonprofit focuses on improving the English literacy of immigrant and refugee children by offering a safe and supportive summer camp centered on English literacy. We use culturally relevant literacy strategies and innovative techniques to engage students. We also provide books to families through donations from our annual book drive.
Learning is easier when you have an excellent teacher. That's why CLP has volunteers that are passionate about English literacy education! Our multilingual summer camp focuses on children aged 7-12 currently being served in English as a Second Language programs in their schools.
